We grind Pure, Organic Frankincense Resin Tears that have been imported from Egypt by hand and infuse it in Black Seed Oil for at least 3 weeks before shipping to you. Frankincense Resin is NOT the same as Frankincense Essential Oil. The essential oil DOES NOT contain the Boswellic Acid that Frankincense Resin has, so it lacks those special compounds that provide all of these skincare benefits.

**Frankincense Essential Oils DO NOT contain the highly beneficial Boswellic Acids due to them being lost in the distillation process. However, the Frankincense Resin infused oils, like our Skin Perfector Oil, DO contain the highly skin beneficial Boswellic Acids. We source our Boswellia Carterii Frankincense Resin tears directly from the source where the trees grow in Egypt. The Resin is considered the highest grade, most sought after, and the highest grade of all the Frankincense varieties.**

There are over 2 dozen species of the Boswellia tree, but the Boswellia Carterii tree produces the most potent acid that penetrates deep into the skin. Boswellic Acid acts as an astringent to promote many skin benefits.
